Privacy
The short version. This game collects no personal information and sends nothing anywhere. It has no accounts, no adverts, no analytics, nothing to buy inside it and no internet connection of its own. Everything a child does in it stays on the device it is played on.
What the game keeps, and where
The game keeps a small save file on the device, in its own storage. It holds:
- A first name or nickname, if one is typed in, of up to 14 letters, so a cafe can say whose it is on a shared tablet.
- A name for the cafe, chosen from two word lists or typed, of up to 12 letters, which is painted on the cafe's wall.
- Progress: which sums have been answered, how often and how quickly, and a record of each day, so the game can choose the next customer and show how the tables are going.
- Coins, furniture, the floor and walls chosen, and the settings, such as sound and picture quality, so the cafe stays as it was left.
None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. There is no server. The game does not read contacts, location, photos, the camera, the microphone or anything else on the device. It asks for no permissions, except that on an iPhone, saving a picture to Photos asks to add it there. If the device's own backup is switched on, the backup includes the save, as it does for every app.
Photos
Once every sum is known, the game can take pictures of the cafe. Pictures are stored on the device, and in the app a grown up is asked before one is saved. We do not share any pictures or other data from the app, but you can share the pictures from your device in your usual way if you like.
Children
The game is made for children of about seven to eleven, and built so that there is nothing to protect them from: no chat, nothing anyone else can see, no adverts and nothing to buy, and nothing that leads out of the game except saving a picture, which in the app asks a grown up first. Because it collects no personal information, no consent is needed under COPPA (United States), the GDPR (European Union) or POPIA (South Africa), and there is nothing to ask us for a copy of, or to delete, beyond what the device itself can remove.
Deleting
Each cafe can be deleted from Your cafes, on the game's first screen. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its storage in the device's settings, removes everything it kept on the device. A copy in the device's own backup stays until that backup is replaced.
Third parties
None. The game contains nothing that talks to the internet: no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising. The app store it came from handles the purchase under its own privacy policy, and the app does not transfer any user data or collect App Store or Google Play credentials.
Changes
If the game ever changes in a way that touches this policy, the policy is updated before that version is released, and its date changes. This version took effect on 21 September 2026.
